Assuming no company announces a simulcast we'll be subbing it.

That's awesome! I'll be seeing the first chapter in Japan this summer.
As with the previous two series, I'll be here to aid in translation/editing if need be. I've made tons of progress in my JP studies over at uni.

Here's to the next three years!

I deeply appreciate all your work on subbing Yamato but I just have to ask for peace of mind, how long does it generally take to sub each chapter after you get the bluray/digital copy.

If the answer is a general, we've no idea. That's fine. Just wanna know if I should check back each month or every other week. That type of thing. I suppose the closer we get to new Yamato, the more I get excited. Especially since Be Forever is the weakest film in my books and would've worked 120% better as a long series. Which it's now getting.

Takes a bit. First we need a raw for our translator. Then we need to time it and edit it. Then re-edit it.

When are you going to start subbing it? I was browsing for some "stuff" and saw a site posting it under the name "Yamato yo, Towa ni: Rebel 3199"and they have two episodes posted for streaming. I did not watch because I wanted to watch what you guys are going to do.

Quick question, what is the reference of using "3199?

Need a raw first. I'm hoping my last partner in subbing the previous ones contacts me soon.

Saw some already subbed versions on nyaa. I'll check them out to see if it will be necessary for us to do anything.

Whilst it would be lovely to get a fansub as yours are better than the official Funimation subs, crunchyroll actually seem to be subbing the series on time this time. Though no 2205 just yet, we do have Chapter 1 (ep1&2).

The article they released also suggests that each chapter will be subbed, at least a week post initial screening in Japan. Time will tell tbh.
